Blue sky..

This day has started off cool, windy, and damp so this photo is simply a reminder of the sun and temperatures we were enjoying a week ago. Blue sky against the white pillars and arches of the Sunnyside Pavilion. Almost has a Mediterranean feel to it........

ABOUT

My emergence into photography was purely accidental. Formally trained as a Visual Merchandiser for fashion and home decor retailers, I began my love of photography with a simple point and shoot camera while exploring the many streets, neighbourhoods, and green spaces of Toronto in my spare time.

Born in the historic Town Of Cobourg, Ontario, I was early influenced by architecture and history and it remains a strong component of my work today. Photographs from Kingston, Ottawa and Montreal have been added to my collection of Architectural Details.

Perhaps it was because of my career in being a Merchandiser, I soon embraced a second love of colour, pattern, and texture in often random, discarded objects or forgotten corners of the city. Colour combinations, patinas, and items aged by time and weather often catch my eye and make up my second collection.

Finally, my third love. Abstract. again influenced by colour, these photographs are often photographs of graffiti, flowers, and even water that I have altered the zoom while taking the shot. What results is a blending of colours, new patterns, and a great abstract image.
